Dr Gregor is an amazinnngggggg guy. If you want to learn interesting stuff on the body and nerdy science/health stuff, listen to him on his podcast, or on YouTube or just read his books. But anyway, he is so correct.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, our society today is so focused on prescribing medication rather than looking into WHYYY they need cholesterol or blood pressure medicine first. Now, I totally believe there is a time and place for medicine. I take a lot of anxiety medicine. Antibiotics are great. I am pro vaccination. However soooo many diseases are preventable and even REVERSIBLE no matter what age you are.
90% of the time when people get sick, if you have done the research on food and what causes diseases, you can look at their diet and identify at least 6 awful habits they have that lead to it... aka what we call a lifestyle disease. And before people jump on my ass, I will say this again. Healthcare is amazing and important, but it has its place. And let me tell you, it isn’t the line leader! (Back to school humor.) But for real. Clean up your diet, drink more water, cut soda, do something for exercise (yoga, walking, swimming... whatever), cut the processed food, cut dairy all together (hardest thing ever to cut. It legit has Dopamine like effects.) eat a little less animal products and eat more veggies. Just make small changes and I promise you will lose weight, feel sooo much better and probably have less health issues.
