Today, I visited the Future Stars orphanage at Budunburam, the community of the #refugee camp in Kasoa, Ghana.
I must say that this is not the first #orphanage visit I have been part of with the Youth fellowship in my church; to spread the #gospel to the needy. However, this particular visit was very different, for me.
The orphanage was founded by the young man in the picture, Shadrach. He started the orphanage as a result of coming from a less privileged background in a family of 11, where he self-financed his education till college. He then started this orphanage in the year 2010, because he found himself in a community of predominantly less #privileged #children .This #philanthropic act is what Shadrach refers to as his #calling . I am impressed by his work because he is young and most of the orphanage I have visited are always run by older folks. That is why this orphanage I different for me.
Future Stars orphanage now houses 30 orphans and is educating 200 needy kids, including the 30inhabitants of the home.
