Since some of the Viseart (+ ND & Huda) palettes are on sale right now, AND it’s an additional 20% off for Rouge or 15% for VIBs until Tuesday (with code SUMMERSAVE), it’s the perfect time to finally review my well-loved

With 3 mattes and 6 shimmer shades, Tryst is ideal for warm, romantic, and cohesive, everyday eye looks. I think whatever formula has gone into these 9 pan palettes is the best of Viseart, because the well-known, silky mattes are combined with impactful metallics, and they all work and blend beautifully together on the eyes.
The semi-exception to this is “Illicit,” the deep plum matte, which feels and swatches drier because it has glitter in it, (the bane of my existence 🤦🏼♀️,) but on the eye, it performs like the other mattes to deepen any look without issue or noticeable glitter.
The only thing I /don’t/ love about this palette is the plastic packaging. The clasp is easy to open, the inside full mirror is great, and the metal insert on the top gives it a fancy feel, but cardboard palettes just seem to absorb impact better imo. Plastic is fine for weekend trips etc., but just like with Colourpop’s 9 pans, it’s not something I would take through an airport or anywhere it’s likely to face a tougher trip. 🤷🏻♀️ Most people seem to think the opposite though so maybe I’m just a klutz.
And finally, I will say I don’t think this palette is for everyone. If you want cooler tones, Liasion is going to be more your speed (... I just picked that one up too 😆.) And if you have a medium to deep skintone, I think the pigments in Libertine or Golden Hour are incredible. But if you love warm peaches, pinks and golds, and can use the paler lid and highlight shade, I think this a gorgeous all-in-one type of palette.
