⚡I have heard a lot lately about the modified ketogenic diet, namely: carnivore. 🥩🥩🥩
Carnivore diet is all about consuming animal products. The fact that meat can heal may be new to some people, especially now, in the age of belief that eating commercial meat is harmful to the environment, well it is, but this is not the end of the story. ☑️ FACT: Man has been eating meat for over 3.5 million years. Amino acids that our body digests out of the protein provides all sepectrum of building blocks of our organism. An analysis of the bones of our ancestors found that the largest changes in body structure, including a significant increase in brain volume, occurred more than 2 million years ago. Man mastered the fire and learned to bake only 0.5 million years ago, which easily concludes that eating mainly raw or slightly processed meat had a huge impact on (relatively :) fast brain development.
Is everything else we eat unhealthy then? It is not true that fruit and vegetables are unhealthy. They contain a lot of vitamins and minerals, but unfortunately also a lot of carbohydrates and antinutrients. The premise of the carnivore diet is that all nutrients for optimal human function can be obtained from animal products exclusively, putting the body into an intense ketogenic state.
Should we be afraid that we will get some nutrient deficiencies? If we are eating nose to tail and including fish, organ meats, cheeses and eggs. No. Especially eaten raw.
