hello looooves ✨ i wanted to share something with you that has helped me tons while being on my self love journey.
for a prettttty long time, i’ve struggled with disordered eating (i am sure it was an eating disorder, but i’ve never been diagnosed by a professional). it controlled my life so much for such a long time, but i found a way to transform this.
what has helped me a lot is becoming super present and really taking the time to ask my body if she needs something, what she needs, if she’s hungry, if she’s thirsty, if she needs to be moved or touched... 🧡 this has not only improved the relationship i have with my body, but with myself in general.
it’s like meditation to me. i take the time to become still, observe, ask, receive, honour myself & remind myself how special, important and worthy i am, just because i am me.
some days are still more difficult than others, and that is ok. on those days i also ask myself what i need in order to feel better and feel like myself again.
what also helped me, is accepting & observing the voice inside of me that keeps talking shit about “me”. i’m not saying that it will be easy, but i do want to emphasize that it is worth everything.
your body LOVES you.
your body is always there for you. always trying to heal, nourish and protect you.
we should honour our bodies every day.
we should thank our bodies every day.
we should listen to our bodies every day.
