Is your head in the clouds? Do you need grounding? Here’s an easy exercise— imagine your feet on the sand in the waves at the beach. Feel how they sink every time the waves wash over you. Now imagine your feet going deeper while you push your energy into the earth as deep as you can go. Release all energy that comes. Now imagine tying a rope from your feet to the center of the earth and let the rope suck up the earth’s energy back to your heart center. Here are some questions to help you drop your own masks. Write them in a notebook. Perhaps address a question a day, to let your truth emerge deeply over a period of time. Think about all the times in your life when you felt you had to be "on," when you couldn't be honest with how you really felt, when you chose to pretend to be someone you weren't. What's the cause of that? If I were to ask you to describe yourself, could you talk about your strengths and weaknesses with confidence? (In other words, do you know who you really are?) Are you always the same in how you act regardless of the situation you're in? When you are around others, do you ever feel strained and uncomfortable and find it hard to relax? Has anyone ever told you that they thought you were one way, but then when they got to know you better, realized you were another way? Has anyone ever commented on how you act differently around various people? Do you ever act like you don't care what others think, but deep down it really stings when others judge or reject you? Do you ever pretend to like someone you really don't? What might some of your masks be? The "I've got it all together" mask? The "I'm a victim mask"? Think about different situations in your life—work, school, church, home, with friends, with family, etc. What mask might emerge during those times? Obviously, there are times when it is adaptive to protect your true self or your thoughts and feelings. Some people and situations are unsafe and it is wise to hold back. That said, if you identify yourself as frequently donning masks in "unsafe" situations (where you fear criticism, belittling, anger, etc.), it may be worth looking at how to reduce your exposure to these people and/or situations. As you become more aware of the circumstances in which you don a certain mask, don't be frustrated if you can't change your behavior right away. You've likely been doing this for years, perhaps even your entire life. About to get a little more personal. So I’ve noticed that the more pressure I’m under the stronger is my urge to edit and post photos. Like some people reach for a cigarette when stressed, I reach for my camera and computer and start clicking. Maybe it gives some sense of self worth, maybe it helps forget about the fear that’s been trying to eat my mind or maybe staring and images of nature is therapeutic. Day 3 of #proppedarmbalances is eight angle pose. I think once you figure out what goes where it becomes a whole lot easier. I'll share some tips that helped me with this one. Swipe to see a couple of videos of using props and then without. Firstly make sure your glutes and hips are warm and open. First, place a block on it's lowest side down on your mat and then pop your hip on top of it and send your legs out to the side. Then bend your knees and cross the ankles (bottom crosses over top). Thread your arm through the hole you've made with your legs. Hands are on the mat shoulder width apart in front of the block. Think Chaturanga arms bent to 90 degrees. Then play with straightening the legs and lifting off the block and coming back down again. Really squeeze your ankles together and turn on those obliques, sending the legs out is completely initiated by the core. Squeeze your bicep tightly with your legs. It requires a bit more inner thigh strength that you might think you need, but once you have the grip on the bicep the posture is solid. Press into the palms evenly. Think about bringing the chest forward and not down (heart radiating forwards) and send your gaze towards your toes. There are lots of really helpful tips for this and my co-hosts will be sharing theirs so do check in for inspiration and their wonderful advice. There's lots more I could tell you on this, but for now I'll leave it there and hope you find it helpful if this is something you're working on. R e l e a s e Yesterday I draw a moon card that was saying release all the negativity. This morning when I was showering the words became meaningful to me. While the warm water was running on my skin I was imagining that my whole body from the crown of the head to the toes and even all the organs were getting clean. While I was shampooing my head and hair I was imagining that the shampoo was cleansing my thoughts. While I used a body & face peeling I imagined how I peeled of all the “fake” layers of insecurities and after the shower I was cutting my toe nails and I imagined how I cut off everything that I’m not, all the fears and everything that pulls me down. My last ritual was to put rose essential oil on my whole body and while I was massaging the warm oil on my body I kept imagining that all my layers of being are getting a layer of pure love & light. This little journey of releasing made me feel free & happy. Much love & a happy day, Nora

//Eigentlich bin ich ganz gut mit mir verbunden. Aber ich schaffe es nicht, dieses Gefühl mit in meinen Alltag zu nehmen. Das höre ich immer wieder von meinen Soulmates. Wenn sie meditieren, sich Zeit für sich nehmen, in ihrer Energie sind, fällt es Ihnen leicht sich mit dem Gefühl der Leichtigkeit zu verbinden. Kommt jedoch eine unvorhersehbare Situation, sind sie raus aus ihrem alignment. Druck entsteht. Und dann fließt es nicht mehr. Und ist es nicht das, worum es geht? Ist es nicht unser Ziel Dinge für uns zu tun, um dieses Gefühl mehr und mehr in unseren Alltag zu integrieren? Um zu diesem Gefühl zu werden? Gelingt mir das immer? Nein. Und doch entscheide ich in jedem Moment, in dem es mir nicht gelingt, mich im nächsten Moment wieder mit diesem Gefühl zu verbinden. Ich entscheide, sobald ich es wahrnehme, wieder die Verantwortung zu übernehmen und mich nicht vom Druck und der Schwere einnehmen zu lassen. Denn die gute Nachricht ist, dass dieses Gefühl nichts außerhalb von uns ist. Dieses Gefühl ist in uns und wir können uns in jedem Moment dafür entscheiden dieses Gefühl zu fühlen. It was Wim's birthday this past week, and in ode to the man who I believe is the epitome of beauty, grace, compassion and pure love, I am posting one of my favorite pictures of us. It is impossible not to be joyous around him, once he makes a connection with you, he never forgets you, no matter who you are. He always says that the cold is his guru, and it is true, I too have learned alot by being in the cold. However as my good friend @vedomy_zivot once said, Wim was the first one to download the app from the universe to show us how to achieve happiness, health and strength by following just one method. He turned sixty this year, and even now he does yoga poses that people half his age can't do. @iceman_hof thank you for being a consistent inspiration to us, and also for being the ambassador of showing us how we should be one with nature and move away from medicines and pills that are being administered to us all the time. STRESS RESPONSE AND RELAXATION RESPONSE “Your autonomic nervous system has two opposing responses that are important to understand. The stress response, and the relaxation response. Each one tells the body how to feel and respond by releasing hormones and other signals that communicate with every part of the body. Chronic Stress (consistent elevated levels of cortisol) generate or contribute to the following symptoms of dysfunction. •Impaired immune system• Impaired digestion and absorption (leaky gut) •Obesity •insomnia •Impaired memory •Fatigue •Hormonal dysregulation •Blood sugar dysregulation •High blood pressure To much Cortisol is not good for the body as you can see. To activate the Relaxation Response, all it takes is a D-E-E-E-E-E-P and slow B-R-E-A-T-H to stimulate and engage the relaxation response. To encourage the relaxation response to keep on going takes practice. But every intentional practice begins simple. For now, breathe in and breath out slowly at least 3 times at the first sign of stress.
